DES PERES, Mo. - A familiar West County Mall storefront once occupied by fashion retailer Forever 21 is taking on a seasonal role this fall.

The space, which closed earlier this year after Forever 21 shut down all of its physical stores following bankruptcy, is now home to a Spirit Halloween. The pop-up retailer hosted a soft opening earlier last week, and are expected to officially open next week, according to mall officials. It will remain in operation until just after Halloween.

For years, Forever 21 was a staple for teen and young adult shoppers, known for its fast fashion and mall locations. Its closure left behind a large vacancy at West County Mall.
