AUBURN — Wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. , a Georgia Tech transfer who dealt with a knee injury toward the end of Auburn football 's preseason camp, is "going to play" in the Tigers' season-opener at Baylor, Hugh Freeze said Wednesday.

"He's not 100%, but getting better every day," Freeze said. "Hopefully, with more treatment today, tomorrow and all through the day Friday, he'll be close to being full speed. That's our hope. He's not quite there yet, but definitely is healthy enough to try to play."

Singleton, who was a limited participant in Auburn 's practice Tuesday, was widely considered one of the best transfer portal prospect in the country this offseason.
