Approved: Rezoning hospital property
Council unanimously passed final reading of an ordinance changing the zoning of six properties owned by the Greenville Hospital system along South Buncombe Road.
The measure is aimed at creating consistent zoning for the parcels totaling 48.8 acres ahead of the hospital system’s development of a 100,000-square-foot medical office building.
The project is part of a larger $350 million expansion of Greer Memorial Hospital announced by Prisma Health in July. The ordinance changes the zoning from a mix of commercial general and office professional to a uniform regional center classification.
