COBURG, Ore. - A burglary suspect was apprehended early on Tuesday at a local business, according to the Coburg Police Department.
Coburg police officials said that officers responded early on the morning of Aug. 26 to a business alarm at Pomp’s Tire Service on Roberts Road. Police officers arrived to find a man loading items into a company vehicle. The suspect fled on foot, hiding in nearby bushes after spike strips were used to prevent his escape by vehicle. A Lane County sheriff’s deputy launched a drone, which police said played a key role in safely locating the suspect and minimizing risk to both officers and K9 units during the incident.
The suspect, identified in Lane County Circuit Court records as 27-year-old William Joseph Arnett, was arrested and transported to the Lane County
