UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV) -- Meteorologist Jordan Reed has a look at the forecast for the next few days.

Those stubborn lake effect showers are finally winding down this evening… and we’ll enjoy a much-needed break with dry and slightly milder conditions as we move through Thursday!

But—don’t get too comfortable. By Thursday night, a cold front will sweep in from the Great Lakes. That front will bring showers overnight and into Friday morning. The best chance for rain looks to be late Thursday night into early Friday, especially across the Thruway corridor. By Friday afternoon, things should start to dry out… but cooler air rushing in behind that front could fire up more lake clouds and a few scattered showers.
