BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) - North Dakota Governor Kelly Armstrong has ordered all U.S. and state flags to be flown at half-staff from today through sunset on August 31, as a mark of respect to the victims of the tragic shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis.

He also encourages residents and businesses across the state to do the same.

In a statement, Armstrong expressed deep sorrow:

“Kjersti and I are heartbroken for our neighbors in Minnesota and praying for the victims of the unspeakable act of violence at Annunciation Catholic School and their families. We are grateful for the first responders and medical professionals caring for the victims.”
