WILLIAMS COUNTY, ND (KXNET) - The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality has issued an advisory for Blacktail Dam in Williams County due to the presence of blue-green algae.

Officials say the water is not at critical levels, but direct contact should be avoided.

The advisory brings the total to seven bodies of water under advisories statewide. Another seven are currently under warnings.
