Woman biking near Fairmount, North Dakota was hit and killed Tuesday afternoon

RICHLAND CO., N.D. (KVRR) — A Fairmount, North Dakota woman has been hit and killed while biking.

North Dakota Highway Patrol says the 45-year-old was on her bike on County Road 81 in Richland County on Tuesday afternoon when she was hit from behind by a Toyota Yaris car.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 33-year-old female driver of the car from Hankinson has minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
