NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH) — A jury found an Enfield man guilty on Monday in two pending cases stemming from the 2024 sexual assault of a woman at a motel in Southington.

According to the New Britain Judicial District state’s attorney, 35-year-old Jeremy Figueroa-Gerena physically assaulted and restrained the victim in his vehicle on the highway after the sexual assault.

Figueroa-Gerena had a protective order prohibiting him from having contact with the victim.

He was found guilty on charges of first-degree sexual assault, four counts of violation of a protective order, first-degree unlawful restraint and third-degree assault.

He is scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court on Dec. 16 for sentencing.
