BEAUMONT, Texas — Former students of Blessed Sacrament Catholic School will reunite September 19-21 in Beaumont for a three-day celebration marking six decades since the historic institution closed its doors in 1965. The school, built in 1917 specifically to provide Catholic education to Black and Indigenous children, holds special significance as one of the institutions established by Sister Catherine Drexel, now a Catholic saint.

The reunion weekend will begin Friday, September 19 at 2 p.m. with a meet-and-greet at the Beaumont Holiday Inn. Saturday's events include a yard party followed by an evening dance, while Sunday will conclude with an 8:30 a.m. mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, which remains active today.
