HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - A man accused of hitting and killing a construction worker in Hartford last year pleads guilty.
The man police said was responsible, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges.
Tommy Nguyen of Hartford is accused of speeding through a work zone in June of 2024 where he fatally struck a construction worker.
The victim was identified as 54-year-old Jose Diaz-Nieves of East Hartford.
The plea deal includes a recommended sentence of two years.
Nguyen will be back in court on October 20th.
