SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Springfield’s Convoy of Hope will officially cut the ribbon on their new distribution center located in north Georgia on Thursday.

The location wasn’t just chosen by throwing a dart at a map.

The new distribution center is located in Cartersville, Georgia, situated north of the Atlanta Metro area and approximately an hour south of Chattanooga.

It will serve as a hub for delivering emergency supplies, including food, water, and hygiene items, to disaster survivors in the Southeast.

When it came to selecting the new site, it was all about location, location, location.

“You know we spend a lot of time, down in this area every fall, for hurricanes,” said Ethan Forhetz, the Spokesperson & VP of Public Engagement at Convoy of Hope.
