FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Two children were killed and 17 other people were injured in a shooting on Wednesday at a Minneapolis Catholic school.
Across the country, local, state, and federal officials are responding to the situation.
Among those leaders are Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and U.S. President Donald Trump.
Walz says the violence is horrific.
“I’m praying for our kids and teachers whose first week of school was marred by this horrific act of violence,” said the governor.
Trump referred to the shooting as ‘tragic’, and said the White House will continue to monitor.
Here in the Hoosier state, leaders are also sharing their condolences.
Those leaders include Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith, the Indiana Democratic Party, and U.S. House Representative Marlin Stutzman.
“Indi
