HURON – A focus group organized by Huron County is shedding light on the realities of living in the county as a young resident.

A report was presented by the focus group during council’s Aug. 13 council that outlined its findings, which illustrate the challenges in attracting youth to the county.

County councillors designated youth attraction as a council priority earlier this year, and directed county staff to pursue engaging students in development plans and strategies, tell stories of opportunities in the county for young people, and tell the story of the young demographic who are returning to the county.
