MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman accused of stealing and vandalizing copper wire from a major internet provider.
Donna Locke, 48, is wanted on felony theft and critical infrastructure vandalism charges in connection to the theft of copper wire from an AT&T manhole earlier this month.
Investigators say the stolen wire was valued at $4,312.95, and replacement costs are estimated at $12,310.
Police say Locke’s alleged accomplice, Scott Stephens, 41, has been arrested and is being held on a $25,000 bond on the same charges.
According to investigators, they were alerted on August 6 when an AT&T representative reported two people, a man and a woman in a blue Dodge pickup, stealing copper wire from an AT&T manhole.
