ELKINS, W.Va. (WBOY) — In recognition of the efforts of drug task forces in northern West Virginia, Acting U.S. Attorney Randolph J. Bernard held a press conference in Elkins on Wednesday to highlight some of their work.
Bernard said that over the past year, drug task forces in the Northern District of West Virginia have seized 27 kilograms of fentanyl, 22 kilograms of methamphetamine and 13 kilograms of cocaine. Bernard noted that the seizures come in the wake of President Trump’s "Operation: Take America Back," which he said aims to eliminate drug cartels, reduce violent crime and end illegal immigration.
