VALPARAISO — An East Porter County School Board member has filed a lawsuit against the district, its superintendent and the governing board, alleging they unlawfully barred her from school property and used the threat of criminal trespass to force her off the board.

Natalie Bowersock is now seeking a temporary restraining order from a Porter County judge to block enforcement of a trespass ban against her.

According to a motion filed by Bowersock’s attorney on Tuesday, the dispute began in July when Superintendent Aaron Case issued a cease and desist letter to Bowersock, citing a complaint from an unidentified employee.
