WASHINGTON — The NFL released its list of players signed to all 32 of the league's teams' practice squads on Wednesday, including the 14 players signed by the Washington Commanders.
The practice squad offers an opportunity for teams to hold onto players not part of the official 53 active teammates.
Sam Hartman, 26, who joined the active squad for about one month last fall after backup quarterback Marcus Mariota suffered an injury, returned to the practice squad for his second season with the Commanders.
The roster also included international talent with the Commanders signing 22-year-old T.J. Maguranyanga, from Zimbabwe, a country in Southeast Africa. A crossover talent, Maguranyanga had been a rugby player in France until December 2024 and was recruited as part of the NFL's Internatio
