PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - A woman was arrested for her alleged role in a hit-and-run in Peoria.
Peoria Police were called around 9:50 p.m. Tuesday to the intersection of Frye and Wisconsin avenues for a person reportedly hit by a vehicle.
Officers found a 22-year-old man lying on the sidewalk who was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
A short time later, officers stopped a vehicle matching the description in the area of Nebraska and Peoria avenues.
The driver, identified as 21-year-old Kayana M. Polk, was arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated battery with a motor vehicle, hit-and-run, reckless driving and failure to report a personal injury crash.
She was taken to the jail.
