DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - What’s better than Friday night lights? What about Thursday night lights?

Davenport North Football will kick off for the first game of the season Thursday night at Brady Street Stadium against Muscatine.

Davenport North is looking to defend the den with 20 seniors and the addition of six transfers this season.

But, the Muskies say they’re looking to rush for success.

Muskies head coach Mike Truitt is in his second season as head coach in Muscatine. Last season, the Muskies went 3-6, but they were one of the top teams in all of Iowa in rushing, and this year’s group has set some lofty goals to improve in both of those marks.
