LUDINGTON – The Ludington girls varsity swim and dive team kicked off the home portion of its 2025 schedule on Tuesday against Gaylord.
Despite being in the familiar waters of the Donald C. Baldwin Community pool, the Orioles couldn’t keep pace with the Blue Devils and Gaylord won 114-62.
Ludington’s lone victory in the pool came in the one-meter diving event as Katy Gable posted a score of 142.30. Gable also finished second in the 100-yard freestyle, posting a 1:16.33.
The Orioles also picked up multiple second place finishes. Madison Bearup finished in second place in the 200-yard freestyle (2:20.36) and the 500-yard freestyle (6:13:81). Haidyn Larson brought home second place in the 100-yard breast stroke (1:25.31) and third in the 500-yard freestyle (6:48.81).
