LINCOLN, Neb. —

A 36-year-old man was arrested in the death of his infant daughter earlier this month, Lincoln police said.

On Aug. 14, officers responded to an apartment complex near S. 27th Street and Woods Boulevard, after a man, identified as Ryan Greenwood, called 911 to report the death of his 4-month-old daughter, officials said.

Investigators said the baby's mother, 28-year-old Tanya Greenwood, was also home when the child was found dead.

A Lincoln police investigation showed the infant had injuries consistent with non-accidental trauma, according to authorities.

Greenwood was taken into custody for child abuse resulting in death.

Lincoln police said the incident is still under investigation.
