EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - There’s a new child care program at the YMCA in Owensboro.
Officials showed off the facility this afternoon with rooms available for infants up to six weeks old and babies up to 5 years old.
The program involves having new rooms available for babies up to 5 years old.
They have around 5 new rooms for each of the different group of kids with 38 new open slots for kids to join the program.
“All three phases have been funded between the city of the state and the county several foundations,” says YMCA president Tom Bontrager. “We are doing this not going into debt not having to take a loan and these rooms that you see here about $150,000 for the furniture alone.”
They say the facility will be open to the public September 2nd.
