A man was found guilty this week of six felonies, one of which involved smuggling narcotics into the Bell County Jail last year with the help of two co-defendants.
Jacob Ryan Morris, 34, of Temple was indicted by a Bell County grand jury on Dec. 4, 2024, on a third-degree felony charge of engaging in organized criminal activity. He pleaded guilty on Monday during a hearing in the 264th Judicial District Court.
Morris already had entered guilty pleas on July 22, 2024, to a third-degree felony charge of possession of a controlled substance one gram or more but less than four grams; three state jail felony charges of burglary of a building; and a state jail felony charge of fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, all of which occurred in Killeen in 2023.
