WETHERSFIELD, Conn. — Seventy-eight employees were laid off across Connecticut this week after the solar company PosiGen announced they were scaling down the business almost completely and possibly shutting down.
The company's three affected locations in Connecticut are in Danbury , Shelton and Wethersfield.
The news was shocking for many people, including John Michael Augello of Hartford.
"It's awful, you hate to see it, so I hope they're giving them something," Augello said.
He said Wethersfield needs more businesses, not less.
"I hope you know, another business picks up, I hope it grows. I've been passing through Wethersfield my whole life," he said.
