STORRS, Conn. — College basketball programs around the country are now allowed to stuff their rosters with 15 players.
On Wednesday, the UConn men's team added an honorary 16th man in 12-year-old Elijah Randolph from Farmington.
Randolph is not like your average 12-year-old, he's been battling BPDCN, a rare blood disorder.
"I actually had a bump on my thigh about this big and when I started doing chemotherapy it went away in 11 days. So, I've just started to have a positive attitude and just kept that throughout the process," said Elijah.

Funny enough, Elijah actually had no interest in basketball.
