BILLINGS, Mont. – The future of Rimrock Mall, Montana's largest shopping center of its kind, is uncertain due to unpaid property taxes. Kohan Retail Investment Group, the mall's owner, owes Yellowstone County nearly $600,000 in taxes and penalties.

Rimrock Mall, a staple in Billings since 1975, was purchased by Kohan Retail Investment Group last year for approximately $28 million. Now, Hank Peters, Yellowstone County Treasurer, says that the group has until Friday to pay the amount owed. If they fail to do so, a third party could purchase the debt, which Kohan would then have to repay with interest.
