MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Additional charges have been filed against a Monterey man accused of crimes against children spanning more than three decades.

Jimmie Maier Jr. was arrested on July 11 following an investigation by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit.

He was originally booked on four counts of sexual battery with a victim under 13 years of age and two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles victim under 13 years of age.

On Aug. 25, Maier was charged with one count of first degree rape victim under 13 years of age.

He is currently being held on a $500,000.00 bond.
