GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) — A man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Graves County on Wednesday.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office said their deputies responded to the 800-block of State Route 58 at 11:58 a.m. on August 27, for a vehicle crashed down a steep embankment off the road.

The sheriff’s office said Floyd Odell Luckey, 55 of Pryorsburg, was driving west when he ran off the road and into a large creek bed.

Authorities said a passerby helped assist Luckey out of the vehicle and emergency services then arrived at scene.

Luckey was later pronounced dead at the scene by the Graves County Coroner.

The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Wingo Fire Department, Mayfield Graves County EMS, and the Kentucky State Highway Department.
