We're looking at a really pleasant end to the work week here across our region as we head into the holiday weekend. We'll see temperatures moderating back nicely into the mid-80s on Friday, which is still a bit cooler than we typically expect for late August.

We can expect plenty of sunshine punctuated by just a few afternoon clouds. The weekend itself looks to be quite tranquil, with high pressure building in and keeping any chances for rain at bay. Highs will generally stay in the low to mid-80s, continuing that trend of cooler-than-average temperatures through Labor Day Monday. Low temperatures will be quite comfortable, dipping into the mid- to upper-50s overnight.
