RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — New details have emerged in the case of a man accused of threatening a Wake County official earlier this month.

According to the Wake County Sheriff's Office, deputies were notified on Aug. 14 of threats being made against a judicial official at the Wake County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they identified the suspect as 37-year-old Charalambos George Triantopoulos of Apex. He was arrested in Virginia on Aug. 19.

Triantopoulos is charged with threatening a court officer, a felony offense, according the sheriff's office.

On Wednesday, according to jail records, Triantopoulos was returned to Wake County.
