ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Local kids got a special opportunity on Wednesday to have some fun -- a free trip to Six Flags New England thanks to the Bus Stop Club. The organization supports children who have a sibling with a chronic illness or special need.

Organizers said the day gives the kids a chance to relax and make new friends and memories.

"Often, kids who have a brother or sister with a chronic illness or disability, they tend to get lost in the shuffle, so Bus Stop Club is significant because all of the positive attention is on them," Exec. Dir. Angela Tobin said.

New families can join the Bus Stop Club starting in September. They have more events planned for the fall and winter, including a trip to Radio City Music Hall.
