High-risk sex offender registers downtown Fargo address

FARGO — A high-risk sex offender has registered a downtown Fargo address.

Michael Allan Nelson, 25, is 5-foot-9, weighs 192 pounds with blue eyes and blonde hair, according to a release from the Fargo Police Department.

He has registered a new address at 524½ Broadway N. in Fargo.

In 2009, Nelson was convicted of corruption/solicitation of a minor in Barnes County District Court in North Dakota. The victim was a 14-year-old female, the release said.

The North Dakota Sex Offender Risk Assessment Committee determined he has a high risk of re-offending.

He is a lifetime registrant.
