JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WAVE) - A family and community are searching for answers after a Jeffersonville man was struck and killed on the early morning of August 24.
The driver fled the scene, which was on the 1800 block of 8th Street.
The victim was identified as 41-year-old Samuel Carlisle, and as of Wednesday, there have been no arrests.
Carlisle’s family and friends say they are hurting and just want justice for someone who meant so much to them, and to the Jeffersonville community.
“He didn’t deserve what he got,” said Helen Tabor, Carlisle’s aunt.
Tabor told WAVE that ever since she found out her nephew was struck and killed, she has been in disbelief.
“It just felt like a dream, it don’t feel like something that would happen like this,” said Tabor.
Tabor described her nephew as
