LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - After questions of the festival’s return, Councilman JP Lyninger has confirmed that Jazz in Central Park will be held.
Jazz in Central Park will take place on Sunday, Sept. 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. in historic Central Park, located at 1340 S. 4th Street.
The festival was initially supposed to take place last Sunday but Lyninger told the public, “What people need to know about the event is it’s not going to happen this weekend.” He noted he would announce a later date.
Jazz in Central Park is a beloved District 6 tradition with a long-standing history in Central Park. Each year, it brings neighbors together for live music, food, and community fellowship.
Each year, Jazz in Central Park typically draws 5,000 to 6,000 people to the one-day event.
