The Sacramento City Council has approved two housing developments in north Natomas, aiming to alleviate the city's housing shortage.
One development will be located near Truxel Road at the corner of North Freeway Boulevard and Promenade Circle, while the other will be at North Park and Kankakee drives.
One development is already bustling with chain restaurants and big box stores, and will see increased activity when the vacant lot at North Freeway Boulevard and Promenade Circle transforms into the Birchway at Natomas Apartments. The council approved a plan to convert 13 acres into nearly 400 apartments across nine three-story buildings.
