SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The No. 13-ranked Angelo State University football team will look to avenge last year's season-opening loss against Fort Hays State when the Rams kick off the 2025 season Thursday night in Hays, Kansas.

Kickoff for the non-conference matchup is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Lewis Field Stadium.

The Tigers beat the Rams 21-7 last year at home in the first-ever meeting between ASU and Fort Hays.

ASU went 9-3 overall and 9-0 in the Lone Star Conference a year ago, and the Rams were upset at home by Bemidji State in the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs.

Fort Hays finished 8-3 overall and a perfect 6-0 at home in 2024.
