FAYETTEVILLE -- University of Arkansas Coach Sam Pittman said linebacker Xavian Sorey Jr. and slot receiver Raylen Sharpe should be ready to participate in Saturday's season opener against Alabama A&M after being sidelined in camp by injuries.
Sorey, Sharpe and defensive tackle David Oke, who is likely to miss a couple of games while rehabbing a knee injury, appear to be the only players in the Hogs' two deep who had the potential of missing time in the 3:15 p.m. game at Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
Sorey was slowed by a hamstring issue early in camp then underwent a treatment that shelved him for several days before his return Monday.
"I don't anticipate him being limited," Pittman said during Wednesday's SEC coaches webinar. "He's practiced ... Monday and Tuesday. He'll practice again
