A Union native is releasing his second album, but you might need some accumulated vacation time if you want to see him perform the songs live.
Matthew Campbell, leader and principal songwriter of the band Sig Wilder & Friends, said he has been advancing his career in New Zealand for nine years, culminating in the band’s first album called “Cowboy Practice.” The music is “melancholic, existential and introspective — feels like a well-worn handwritten journal of lived experiences rendered through metaphor, poetic prose, and the stylistic conventions of folk, alt-country, ambient and late-night heartbreak radio,” according to Campbell’s bio. ×
