MEMPHIS, Tenn. — New information was revealed in court Monday, Aug. 25, about Austin Drummond, the man accused of killing four family members in Lake County, kidnapping a baby and sparking a seven-day manhunt in West Tennessee.
Drummond was in court for a bond hearing on a separate attempted murder case, but the judge also considered the Lake County murders when deciding to revoke bond.
A Tennessee Bureau of Investigation agent testified about key evidence tying Drummond to the July 29 killings on Carrington Road in Tiptonville. The agent said cell phone data placed Drummond at the scene, and surveillance video later showed him near a church in Jackson with an AR pistol. Investigators said it was the same weapon linked to the quadruple homicide.
