CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The attorney for the woman accused of stabbing three-year-old Julian Wood to death in the parking lot of the North Olmsted Giant Eagle store, filed a motion to change her plea to not guilty by reason of insanity.
In February, Bionca Ellis was found competent to stand trial.
She is scheduled to appear before Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Judge John Russo on Sept. 4 for another pre-trial.
Julian was with his mother, Margot, 37, when they were attacked on June 3, 2024.
