Big changes are coming to garbage day in Waterloo Region.
You have a choice between a large container or an extra-large container in which to put your garbage as it waits to be picked up.
The new containers are bigger than a traditional garbage bag. They might be heavy to move, and they might not fit neatly on your property.
You have to decide by Sept. 5 if you want the smaller size — which fits about one large garbage bag — or the bigger cart, which is 111 cm (44 inches) high, and holds three bags’ worth of trash.
