KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) -- Two girls are in custody after police say they caused a teen to overdose at a local waterpark.

According to Kettering police, two juvenile girls were arrested after a reported overdose at the Kettering Rec Waterpark earlier this week.

Police say the girls gave a 13-year-old boy a THC gummy, which caused the overdose. The boy was not badly injured and was cleared by medics soon after arrival.

The two girls fled the scene, stealing money and credit cards from a wallet left in the waterpark bathrooms, according to KPD.

Officers tracked down the girls after they used one of the credit cards at the Greene Town Center across the street.

The girls were taken into custody, charged with felony theft, and taken to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center.
