YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)-- The York County teenager found guilty of shooting and killing a 12-year-old boy in April 2023 is set to be sentenced on Thursday.

Nolan Grove, who is now 15, was found guilty in June 2025 of third-degree murder in the case of shooting 12-year-old Kain Heiland in the back, killing him. He was also found guilty of possession of firearms without a license and possession of firearms by a minor.

Third-degree murder charges can result in decades in prison.

Grove is scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday, August 28, at 1:30 p.m.
