Well, it looks like we're in for a dynamic weather pattern here in the Rockford area as we move through the next several days. This morning, we're seeing those showers and a few thunderstorms that have been passing through the area. These should move out early this morning, giving us a bit of a break with some partial clearing possible midday into early afternoon. However, as that cold air begins to push down from the Upper Great Lakes this afternoon, we're expecting another round of showers and maybe even a thunderstorm to develop. Inland areas, where that cold air arrives later, could see temperatures climb close to 80 degrees before the cooler air takes hold later this evening.
