WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - The high school sports season is beginning with soccer leading the way. The Watertown Boys are hoping to be a force once again this season.

The Cyclones finished second in the Frontier League last season and made it to the Sectional semi-finals before losing to Nottingham. The Cyclones are looking to fill some holes left from graduation.

“Sure, we lost some talented players from last year, but we have some really good returners and some newcomers as well,” said Watertown Soccer Coach Todd Heckman.

The players head into this season optimistic for another strong campaign and success come playoff time.

“Yeah, it definitely is. Like I said, a lot of young guys that are definitely skilled, we’re hoping to get back to the semi-finals and go further this year,” sa
