PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The cause of a house fire that took in Pittsfield on Wednesday is being investigated.

The Pittsfield Fire Department states that on Wednesday at 5:51 p.m., crews were sent to Barker Road for a report of a building fire. When crews arrived, a fire was seen coming from the 2 1/2 story wood frame single family home. Barker Road was closed due to the location and water hoses being laid down in the road.

All residents were out of the home at the time of the fire. The fire was put out, and one person was injured.

The cause and origin of the fire is being investigated by the Pittsfield Fire Investigation Unit, Pittsfield Police, and Massachusetts State Police.
