LAWRENCE — As Kansas football head coach Lance Leipold analyzed the tape from this past weekend’s win at home against Fresno State, he liked how physical his side played.

Defensively, there was the way the Jayhawks performed after that initial series. KU also controlled the line of scrimmage and forced turnovers.

Offensively, redshirt senior quarterback Jalon Daniels was accurate and decisive. The running backs also played hard, as the offensive line protected well.

Overall, there’s just a need to clean up how many penalties there were.

Now, Kansas looks ahead to a game Friday at home against Wagner. With it comes an opportunity for the Jayhawks to start 2-0 this season. It’ll be the second game KU plays in the new-look David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium this fall.
