INDIANAPOLIS — Four people are facing charges for their alleged involvement in a shooting that left an innocent neighbor, who police said was standing outside her home, injured on Indy's east side.
According to IMPD, around 6:45 p.m. on July 5, patrolling officers in the 4000 block of East Michigan Street , near North Sherman Drive and East New York Street, were flagged to a reported person shot.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a woman who had been shot while she was standing outside of her home. She was initially reported to be in critical condition, but an IMPD spokesperson later confirmed to 13News that she was in "stable" condition.
IMPD said the incident started when a fight, that was organized on social media, escalated into gunfire.
