SIDNEY, Maine — A crash on Interstate 95 southbound near mile marker 118 has shut down the right lane and caused significant traffic delays Thursday morning.

Officials said drivers should expect major backups if traveling through the area. No details were immediately available about the cause of the crash or whether there were any injuries.

Motorists are advised to use caution and seek alternate routes until the scene is cleared, Maine State Police said in a 9:10 a.m. social media post .
